Eagles; the ultimate cleanup crew
« on: March 10, 2014, 08:55:14 AM »
This coyote was shot in my field yesterday at 10:30.     I took the dog for a walk yesterday afternoon at 3:30 and thought I'd see how the cleanup was going.  Eagles had him pretty much picked clean.  It never ceases to amaze me how fast they can clean up a carcass.

If you have a coyote and a deer with eagle access the coyote is favored.  They go very fast.

Thats nothing. After shooting my Kodiak bear, in 2 days the carcus was picked clean by the eagles

I shot one while hunting a few years back with my bow.   I tucked it under a tree and continued my hunt.   I came back to pick it up about 7 hours later as it was a really nice colored pelt.  That's about how it looked.   I couldn't believe it.
