New to Washington bass fishing

Hey there guys. I grew up for the most part in Washington and was never really big into bass fishing until I joined the army and moved down south. Now that I'm back I want to fish for bass here but have no clue where to start. I live near harts lake in Roy so I'm gonna start there.  Not lookin for a honey hole just maybe a few big lakes that are known for bass. Thanks!

lake tapps has a lot of small mouth, plenty of coves and docks to fish in there.

Riffe to the south of you has a good smallie population.

Harts, Silver, Alder, Ohop, Rapjohn, Kapowsin, Tanwax, Spanaway, Steilacoon, American, Riffe...pretty much every lowland lake has bass in it. Some lakes are open now and some are seasonal and open the 4th Sat. in April.

Rubber....worms, frogs, crayfish.

Yelm/Roy, hands down best lake that is close to you is St. Claire

Spnner baits in a few weeks. Rattle traps and plastic worms, too. The largemouth in Swafford pond (electric only) get pretty big. Silver lake is great, too. Catch and release unless you need the fish. Keeping one once in a while doesn't hurt.

Yeah I've got a couple buddies with houses on st Claire I'm gonna hit up. Heard there's a good honey hole on the nisqually real close to there as well.

Also, any Washington bass fisherman that can't catch a largemouth with the conditions we will have this weekend needs to consider feeding their fishing gear through a wood chipper! I have to work  so I had better be seeing some fresh green on this site by Sunday!!!!!!!!

St. Clair, Lawrence Lake, Offut, Black.  I live pretty close to yo and those are the lakes that I bass fish when I need something close by.  Harts is another good one at times.  It also has channel cats in it.  I'm not sure that I would eat any fish out of Harts due to the run off from Wilcox Farms.

i've never done that well for bass in st. clair, but i know it has some bruisers in there.  i've always done best in the shallower lakes like chambers and black lake.
