I actually called a buddy the other day and to invite him, and he said a guy he was working with on Bainbridge already invited him, and he was going to call me about it the next day.  As far as I know, the guy that works with him read about it on a flier I think...  My buddy has never been on this site, so word is traveling.

Great stuff.

Will there be any discussion on locations/areas to hunt in this region?  I am thinking about coming, but that would probably make sure that I was there.

Part of what we (the so-called "Kitsap Hunters Club") are trying to do is provide an opportunity for like-minded hunters to meet and greet one another.  I would certainly expect methods/areas/hunting ideas to be part of the general discussion, although I wouldn't expect Jason to give up specific secrets.  Please come out, as I am sure you could offer us a lot, and you would gain a lot.

Count me in. Maybe someone can show me how NOT to choke on Diaphrahm  calls. :bash:

Happy to have you aboard.  By the way, I am also in the choker camp.  The good news is this: The Bainbridge main fire station (and MedVac helicopter pad) is across the street from the meeting hall.  If you do swallow a call, Harborview is only 10 minutes away.   :chuckle:

I believe he wants the coordinates to where Jason killed that monster bull  :chuckle:

I won't give  you any specific areas, but I WILL go over my strategy to finding elk.....How I research an area, how I confirm what is there and ultimately how I decide what elk/area I want to hunt.

Welcome aboard, Eganx.  Balog, I hope something can be worked out to help you.

DBax, no buy ins allowed.  You are younger than Jason--get out there and burn some boot leather.

Thanks to the many, many who have responded, either here in the forum, by PM, or by e-mail.  I will send a reminder to everybody about 1 week before the seminar.  I am very excited to participate; I know that there will be some super hunters there, and that this will be an excellent opportunity to learn some elk hunting skills.

That is great news, Jason.  There will be several happy elk hunters at this seminar!  (Many thanks to onXmaps for their generosity.)

I've got 4 of us coming from Monroe area.
