Ace Line Hauler Coiler
« on: April 13, 2014, 10:48:05 PM »
I have an Ace Line Hauler and was wondering if anyone has the Bulldog self coiler option on their Ace, if you do how do you like it? I really like my Ace, but 400 feet or more of line takes up alot of room on the deck. Getting ready for Shrimping soon and thought about trying it, thoughts??

I don't have an Ace but as far as coiling up the line goes we use a large hose reel from Home Depot. We mount it opposite of our pot puller (with bungee cords) and one person cranks the rope on to the reel while another pulls the pot in. A couple other people I know use this method as well. No mess or tangles in the bottom of the boat and its easy to unspool to reset your pots. We can get all four of our 400' foot lines on the reel at once but that is maxing it out.
Fish hard, hunt harder!
