Tristar Viper G2 youth
« on: April 22, 2014, 08:50:06 AM »
Anyone have experience with the Tristar viper G2 composite youth 20ga shotgun? I am looking at one for my little girl who is currently in Hunter Education. The gun I am looking at has two stocks, (youth and regular size), 3 chokes, and a 2" barrel extension. I have read many good reviews about it, just looking for some first hand experience from folks on here. here is a link to what I am looking at....

Bought one a few years back for my wife and daughter. It took some time to really get broke in, and still has issues at times with cheap 2-3/4" target loads. Heavies and 3", rock and roll. The ladies dont hunt so when I feel sporty, I bring it out for early teal and find the little thing to be a death-ray. It really is a joy to shoot, and I wouldn't hesitate taking it out for some of the bigger hunts. Just remember the shorter range limitation due to patterns being less dense than a comparable 12ga. offering. Overall, I believe you will be satisfied. Most warranties nowadays cover any issues that may arise.
