Fletch's year in review
« on: November 26, 2008, 02:13:05 PM »
I finally got some pics organized to post...it was a busy year with alot of deer but nothing terribly big...hope you enjoy!

My brothers opening weekend buck 4X3 not counting eye guards.

my  sons first deer

montana camp

I think we went a little early to montana, the rut wasnt quite into swing and the mud was somewhat limiting.

my brothers montana buck

but in the end we tagged three bucks and two does and came home...

I did get a 17 inch 4X3 near mansfield mid week regular season but I dont have pics

And in the end we spent alot of time cutting and grinding the 7 deer.
Here is part of the meat...a 200lbs hamburger patty

What time of year did you guys go to Montana? We went Nov 7-14th and I think we were a week to early. The rut action was slow when we got there and got a little better each day, I think a week later would have been the peak of the rut.

we were in montana nov 3rd - 8th...not the quality of bucks we saw two yrs ago that is for sure.  I definitely wish we would have hunted the 9-14 or later.

Looks like a successful year to me.  Just wait until the Mrs informs you that she isn't going to eat anymore deer. :)
