bear chasing bear tracking deer
« on: April 10, 2014, 06:52:27 PM »
Checked cameras today and had tons of activity on all of them.

I am posting three videos from last night that I find very interesting. The first one has a deer walking at a good pace at 7:11 pm. Three minutes later I have a bear taking the exact same path following the deer. A few minutes later there is another bear taking the same path with another bear charging through in the same direction at a run. I don't know if the first bear got the deer and it became a dinner bell for the others? Any ideas?

I know there are at least three bears here and maybe four in a nine minute period. No wonder my deer count at this location has gone to heck.

May be they are all just playing ring around the Rosie since it's spring !  :yike:

I will look for that my next trip in there. I did not know this happened until I got home and put my cards in the computer.

I will say that I saw last year where a bear killed a deer in the morning and when I went back a couple of days later and you would never know that anything happened. I find it very interesting has fast and thouroughly nature cleans itself up.

The beauty of owning a iPad is you can take it from location to location and download the cards on the spot. After scanning the photos, you can determine if to leave, move, or adjust the camera.
