When the cougar found the deer Saturday night, the deer had been dead for 17 days, and the eagles and magpies has been feeding on it for 12 days. Saturday night and early Sunday morning, I got 306 pictures of this cat feeding on the carcass.

It's legal to bait for cougar by the way...not sure if using road kill is legal to bait with, but I know baiting them is...provided the season is open. Great freaking pics again man.

That is awesome!!!  How much do your cameras cost to set up?  Would you be willing to post a tutorial on how to build one of your trail cameras?  I think that is something that alot of people would be interested in.  Thanks for sharing.

Great pics!!  I couldn't sleep at night knowing my cam was out in the open like that.  Must be way back in there or off the beaten path a ways.  I hide my homebrew cams very well and only put them on big trees to prevent someone from cutting the tree down (without a ton of effort!).

Here is a tutorial that I posted on a homebrew site. I would be more than happy to assist anyone interested in getting into this. It is fun, and after you get through your first camera build, it is very easy.

Thanks for posting the link Bones, I am sure I will have plenty of questions for you in the future.  This sounds like a project I would like to undertake sometime after all the Christmas chaos.
