If it is public land if you dont hunt there someone else will. And besides who said those cams were for turkeys? WE put them out in turkey areas to find predators

You should not hunt there at all...and you should PM me the GPS coordinates so I know where not to hunt as well.  :chuckle:

Kidding aside, I agree with all of the other posts. It's public land, so I am glad you got to hunt with your daughter, and I am looking forward to an update that your daughter bagged her first turkey.

Sounds like a great turkey hunt.  Taking time off with your kid and chasing an elusive bird around is what it is all about.  I'm confident you will score eventually.

I appreciate the offer, but my daughter is pretty possessive of her "dad" time, I suggested bringing someone, and she wants it to be "just us"
Maybe after we get her one (hopefully by luck) you can come show us the "right way"

If you get there and no one is there, hunt it. Early bird gets the worm. I listened to some birds roosting last night and was really excited about hunting there this morning but when I got there ( 45 minutes late  :bash: ), somebody else was already there. I dropped an F-Bomb in my head and went to my other spot. Called in a lone hen and talked with it for about 20 minutes but no gobblers this morning. Good luck to you and your daughter!
