Shot my spring bear today (with my camera)
« on: May 01, 2014, 04:40:47 PM »
I took my dog for a walk up in the hills today and had a bear walk up very close to us. I saw it come out of the woods and I stopped and controlled my German Shepard. Luckily the bear turned towards us and slowly walked in our direction. It really walked a long ways towards us. I was very surprised that it did not head for the brush sooner than it did. My dog stayed silent at my side as the bear neared us. I kept changing between my phone camera and my hand held camera. I was able to get 10 pictures each for a total of 20 pictures. The picture that I am posting is not the nearest one that I have. It was a very peaceful setting until my dog coughed. We he did that the bear came to life and off he went like a race horse with my dog wanting to follow. I just turned my dog in the opposite direction after watching the bear disappear into the woods and chalk it up to another great day in the outdoors.
