Homemade carnitas for Sunday dinner
« on: May 04, 2014, 06:00:51 PM »
I braised some pork butt in beer, onions , and cumin, chili powder, salt for 4 hours.  Made up pico salsa, truck slaw  and tomatillo salsa.  Wife said they were the bomb!

I used my traeger. However oven, slow cooker would also worked. Doing a quick fry at the end is key. I use 2 table spoons of lard.
