#4 overall and #3 beard length
«

Hey guys sorry for the late post but I had the best opening day ever my buddy got his bird first thing and then I got mine later in the day. Pretty cool I have never had this type of success but anyway let's get to the pictures. My bird was 16lbs 6oz had 3/4 spurs and 5 beards that came to 28 5/8" I called Wdfw and they sent me to the NWTF site and after entering all my measurements up I came out #4 overall and #3 in beard length. The last pic is my buddies bird. Oh and they were Merriams.

That first one would be going straight to the taxidermist. That is one to remember. Congratulations on an awesome bird.

Yeah both were Klick birds and yeah doing a full body of him cause odds aren't usually in my favor to do something this cool. Plus he will look good next to my 38lbs bobcat.

No I was self guided. Both birds were on public land. I like it when people post stuff from public lands cause that gives the guys with no access to private that little extra drive in knowing it can be done.

I'll be heading up to klickitat this weekend. My son is still after his bird. I hope the birds are a little more talkative now. Opening of youth was very quiet and no birds. We explored some new areas in hopes they will pan out now. Oh yeah, great looking turkey you shot. Thanks for sharing. I'm envious!

That is the second 5 beard bird I have heard about being killed here. The other had about the exact same measurements. Great job. Impressive trophy.
