Baiting Bear?
« on: May 13, 2014, 03:44:51 PM »
Hey guys, im trying to stay legal and cant find the rules for baiting bear in the regs. This will be my first year hunting bear/baiting for bear. I have an idea of what to use, and how to do it. Also wondering where I should put it, obviously where there is bear sign. But more specifically like bottom of hills, around a lot of trees, etc? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
Jacob

Lots of good types of bear bait. Where....I would try Idaho or anywhere it is legal, just not in Washington.

Washington State hunting regs page 64 (blue section) hunting bear is illegal.

You still have a great opportunity to spot and stalk bears in Washington and we have a lot of them. Scout the areas well and look for feeding sign. There are a lot of good post on here that will help you identify bear sign, just do a search of it.

Good luck

I suggest looking in the regulations on the page about bears. Did you try that?
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.
