Halibut and another round of shrimping for me. I heard the river was high and dirty right now anyway. I can wait until June for another round of Big C salmon. Good luck!

Water was a tad high and dirty but I got mine yesterday. Hali today and shrimp. It's what's for moms day dinner tomorrow!

I was expecting to see a lot more people on the river yesterday.  Where was everyone?  South of Longview we were able to get our fish on the middle of the day exchange but they were smaller fish.  Biggest I saw yesterday was a 12 pounder.  I hear we may get next weekend as well.

Are you able to keep springers in the kalama? I thought they closed it to salmon retention this year.

The Kalama River is closed to salmon but the Columbia at the mouth and general vicinity is ok for retention when open.

Had to flip a coin.  The Hali flip won.  Boated 2 nice ones (40ish) and one chicken (25ish).  It was a good day.

Fished out of Willow Grove Saturday. Dead is an understatement. 8 Springers and 2 steelhead had been checked for 53 boats when we pulled out just before 2pm.

We fished Kalama saturday.  Got one 18lb hatchery fish and missed 6 other take downs.  Went sturgeon fishing for a couple hours and lost 2 keeper size fish to a sea lion so we quit fishing them and went back to the salmon dope on a rope thing.  Caught a dozen or so before the sea lion found us.
