Hey LRK...there was a thread started just 4 days before this one in the deer section...about the Manson unit...(asking the same ? U did about a hunt from the lake up)...then there was one in March as well...I didn't mean to offend ya, its just when the same ?'s get asked over & over again it gets to the point where I just say "just do it" and u will see what everyone else who has done it is talking about...one thing to think about is that everyone who replied said basically the same thing....its straight up, treat the lake like its an ocean...and don't be suprised when you finally get to the bucks summergrounds that other people will already be there as they came in "the easy way" via the ridge trail by bike or horses...

Good luck & if u have other ?'s that haven't already been answered feel free to PM me...

I went to Lucerne yesterday there is a little job shack with stop sign, radios and a person at the start of the switchbacks to Holden. I didn't have to go past the stop sign so no hassles other then he gave me 2 bottles of water. Try to go past this. The only option are trails from Stehekin Valley.

I don't believe Holden is closed. Lady of the lake website and schedule say nothing about it being closed. It's still on the ferry schedule. Sounds like someone on here is trying to dissuade others from going to a particular spot by giving false information. Going to call to make sure. I will post again after I do

That post was 2 months ago. Did you ask if it was open 2 months ago?

Yes. It has been open all year. Only restricted bus service from Lucerne to Holden. Just restricted to Saturday and Sunday service that coincides with the ferry schedule

Seems like it may be pertinent for some as the opener approaches. Just trying to make sure the accurate information gets out. Wasn't really looking for any advice on how old the topic is. Next time I'll make sure to check with you before I post to make sure it's ok......wait nope don't think I will!
