Sounds like Delta reported 2.5% decline in waterfowl hunters from the 23-24 to 24-25 season.  That is a huge drop in hunter numbers that I would not even predicted for just one lousy year. 

“The USFWS estimate shows a 2.5% decrease in active waterfowl hunters from the 2023-2024 season.”

Also the drop in participation could have dropped even more on how the stats might have been gas lighted to included non-residents possibly hunters being counted 2 or more times depending how many states they hunted in.  Washington didn’t even make the grade worth mentioning.  https://deltawaterfowl.org/whats-new/hunting/waterfowl-hunter-numbers-drop/
