Good Luck!!   The meetings I've attended here on the East side over roads only fell on deaf ears! :bash:

They had their marching orders and MONEY straight from DC,  BUT "Public meetings" are by Law required to be had! >:(

Their road budget is well below what they would need to maintain roads even at the low levels.  I think these meetings are to determine which roads go to which maintenance level.  ML2 roads would be the gravel high clearance roads that are pretty rough, ML4 are the paved roads that allow any car.  Maintenance level 4 is ten times the cost as level 2.  I actually prefer the level 2 roads, unless pulling a trailer.  Then again they could have some more timber sales....wishful thinking...

Could this have anything to do with the movement to expand the park?
Only 2 defining forces sacrificed themselves for you:
The American Soldier and Jesus Christ. One died for your freedom, the other for your soul.

My rock,
He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.

The park expansion issue is basically dead now.

It originally started out as simply expanding the park by moving USFS lands to the NPS. Then it went to adding the USFS lands to the Park Service but running it as a preserve so that you can still hunt, basically it would become "Olympic Natl Park & Preserve." And now the only thing is simply adding more wilderness areas on the USFS lands and designating the rivers in the park as wild and scenic, but no park expansion. The agencies would stay the same.
