Best friend and bassin' makes for a great day!!
« on: June 02, 2014, 06:02:13 PM »
This September my buddy Darin and I will have been best friends for 40 years! Pretty cool considering we are both 45 years old

It's so fun to spend a day out fishing together because we can literally get laughing about 40 decades of crap we've experienced in our lives. Anyways, we headed out yesterday and fished 4 different lakes, we decided to just take the Jon boat, oars and a couple rods each, no muss, no fuss, no scales, no electronics just a tackle box. We rowed 1 lap around each lake picking them apart until we got onto something consistent. Lake 1 was Wiser Lake and the action started slow but picked up, we boated 8 with the biggest right around 5lbs. Fazon Lake was next and we caught 12 ranging in size from 12inches to 3lbs. Grandy came next and again it started slow but turned into a jig bite and they started rolling in, caught 10 between us with the biggest right about 3.5-4lbs? Lastly we fished Beaver Lake in Skagit County and it skunked us with 1 crappie for our efforts. Didn't matter, by that time we were pretty well spent!

Awesome day overall! Laughed until I cried a couple times and learned a very very important life lesson.....you know those large snail shells that float around in some lakes? (especially Wiser) NEVER EVER break one open!!!  :puke:  :puke: :puke:

Here's a few of the pics
