Rabbit, Bobcat, and Cougar.
« on: September 13, 2008, 11:00:39 PM »
Ok guys I had a few questions. First of all I was wondering about rabbits and how they change when the snow hits the ground. I live in Spokane and was looking to go rabbit hunting in winter time but wanted a white pelt. I know that snow shoe hares are white but was not sure if the cotton tail turn white as well. If anything knows anything about how rabbits change during winter please educate me. Also, I just moved to the Spokane area to attend college and was wondering if anyone knew of good places to go rabbit, bobcat, or cougar hunting? Any sort of information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

cotton tails don't turn white in the winter.  i hunt cotton tails with a friend of mine who has beagles.  it's a blast and a long seaon. :mgun:

I'm originally from Northern WI & MN and have hunted Snowshoes alot.   They turn white according to the amount of daylight.  Some years in December there is no snow and the hares are white already, makes for some pretty easy hunting.
