Gearing up and excited.
« on: June 10, 2014, 09:41:12 PM »
Finally getting finished with gearing up for this fall. Last year was my first year muzzy hunting and I learned a few things the hard way. This year I am ready with plenty of speed loaders. Finally got my replacement ramrod and the screws for one of my ramrod thimbles and my front sight are on their way (lost in the brush tracking my cow last year). Got my order of 100 No Excuses 460 grain bullets. New williams peep to replace the rear fiber optic site. Got a muzzy ready for my stepson to start this fall (TC Thunderhawk, or he will shoot my vortek and I will use the TC depending on which he shoots better.) 2 1/2 pounds of powder. Now I just need to pick up musket caps and I am good to go. Getting crazy excited. Never gave 2 thoughts to muzzy before I got one, now I am hooked for sure. Just hoping that the No Excuses are liked by our guns, or at least by one of them. If not then I guess I will be putting them up on here for sale to get the money to try something else. But I have high hopes.

the vortek should do really well with the no excuse bullets, start at 70gr and go from there. The LDR vortek i had, along with my strikerfire do extremely well with the maxiballs.
