Myself, my cousin, and a friend of his headed up north to hunt sunday. I was in awe of how many birds were getting up from the fields as we walked in. It was absolutely unreal the sound of wings and birds talking like crazy. Got in at 3am and of course someone local was already setup in the spot we wanted. We headed over to our second choice pond and setup a bunch of dekes, both in the pond and in the flooded barley behind us. Had some coffee and donuts for breakfast waiting for shooting time. The morning was slow and we had 3 by about 9am. Then, about 945 someone told the ducks to head back in from the bay. We had steady shooting throughout the rest of the day. There were several other groups setup, but for some reason the the birds loved our setup and were working all day. Ended up with 14, and lost one nice greenie that was playin dead till the dog tried to grab him, and he dove under never to be seen again. I'll post up some pics later, since work blocks photobucket and every other hosting site

It was definitely the best day hunting i've had in a very very long time. No skybusters, no horrible callers scaring the ducks off. All in all a great day.
