editing program?
« on: May 08, 2014, 03:34:18 PM »
looking for a cheap or free editing program to cut down some of my hunting films and add some cool effects.
If its brown its down... or black... well if it has four legs.. or webbed feet... or fins... ok, ok if its edible!

Not sure about cheap but I've used Power Director and really like it. Very user friendly.

My Window's 7 has a video editor built into it. I have a Samsung video camera that came with an editing disk and software for that camera when I bought it. You should have some kind of software available. They usually always come with the camera. Check out your instructions that you got.  :dunno:

Windows Movie Maker is very easy to use and free, but it is basic.  You can cut videos however you want, add music, and add transitions and titles.  But I guess it depends on what kind of effects you want.

Without spending lots of money, I found Movie Maker is better then most less then $200.00 and it is free.
Adobe Premier is what I use, might as well sell your first born though, it is expensive. You can pay $19.99 a month for Premier Pro CC on the "lease" deal. If you are going to make allot of movies, this would be a great way to go. If you are only doing basic edits to DVDs, Movie Maker does just fine.
