Going rifle this year!
« on: June 16, 2014, 10:19:28 AM »
Sort of....
I actually still plan to archery hunt but after seeing so many bucks running around in random places the last few years during the end of October, I bought my rifle tag this year. It kinda sucks to lose the really long seasons of archery but I think I stand a far better chance of not only filling my tag, but actually getting a decent buck for a change. There were two times last year that I could have easily archery shot a big rut-dumb forky plus there were several other bucks that I saw that hopped in the bushes.
I'm actually really looking forward to deer season! I guess I'm gonna have to redo my hunting wardrobe considering I don't have hardly any orange.
Anyone else archery hunt during modern?

I am going to Montana on a deer hunt and plan to pack both my rifle and my bow. Use my bow primarily but have my rifle there in case I need to reach out and touch one.
