No experience with them. But if you can find a clinic that offers rehab/PT they might be able to help without surgery. The injury will most likely "heal" with time, but if allowed to the dog will never work again. That said it's probably time to start training a new hunting partner if you haven't already and retire your 10 year old.

my dog tore his first acl and we did the tplo.  then he tore his other acl and we did the tightrope procedure.  the tightrope procedure is less invasive, less expensive and way less recovery time.  think 6 weeks until back to active duty instead of 6 weeks in the kennel like with tplo.  it's another option for you anyway.

My lab tore her ACL at the age of 2. Vet recommend the surgery, but I met someone who told me that I could avoid it by using supplements. She told me to buy Tri-flex from a Farm Feed Store. It is a high dose glucosamine supplement for horses. I used this supplement and my dog never missed a hunting season. She is now 12 yrs old. I retired her from hunting last year. My vet took X-rays when I told him that she was doing well without the surgery. He said that the Tri-Flex kept the joint lubricated and the knee capsule ended up thickening and doing the work of the ACL.

Thanks I will see if I can get some of that and try it.
