GMU 336 exploring tomorrow

He should have no problem finding a cow this time of year. It's come October when the archers have been in there. Plus the heat and the other 399 tag holders. Going to be tough

I would start at stampeed pass,exit off I90.  up about 2miles take a left.

I went up Stampede pass area. Had a look around. I am not too familiar with the area so I  plan on going back this weekend. Looking to get away from the roads.

I'll be over there Saturday and Sunday hanging trail cams.

This state is all about pressure find the escape route and you will find the elk.  When you scout for elk ad find them and 5 other guys trail cams that is not where you will be killing an elk. If you enjoy a firing line elk hunt then hunt Washington state.

I made it over yesterday and hung a couple cameras.  I'll let them soak until about mid August then go check them.

If anyone else is watching this thread, just keep in mind that D-Rock is clearly a jerk.  Who wouldn't walk 2 miles down a road and then 800 feet down in a ravine through brush and crap to set a camera and salt lick up for someone else?  How selfish.  I was eating at a nice restaurant and couldn't make the trip.

We also drove through the colokum area and came out the other side then come home highway 2.  Not a road for my car but we made it.  Saw about 9 or 10 elk up there.
