I'm excited for Archery Elk season either way
« on: June 29, 2014, 07:46:39 AM »
To many people are complaining about the date and whatever...
Just be happy we get a chance to hunt these creatures and enjoy them. Yes, last year was a good year for me and i'd like to hope for the same this season. I feel there is to much complaining, just be grateful, hunting is fun and no one ever said it was easy/fair....

Im stoked to try out the new Bear bow i bought, and maybe get an elk/mule the same weekend in Blewett pass.
Last year i got a cougar and 7-10 minutes later landed a true spike; no one believed until they saw my truck bed.

Cheers to hunting season, who else is ready?

I'd agree with this!  I'm excited to be able to hunt whenever and wherever.

I'm guilty of bringing a lot of the conversations about seasons onto this forum.  I did it on purpose and with the intent of gauging bowhunters' thoughts about seasons and rules.  In the past we didn't have a good medium for getting input or letting people know what was going on during the process.  So, back then, the only input people had into the season setting process was to complain once they opened the regulations in the hardware store.  Now, with this forum being so large and representative of the hunters across the state, we don't have to have the process be so cloaked in mystery; it can, and should, be more in the open to allow all hunters to weigh in on the decisions that affect them.
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

I'm am totally pumped.  Probably will never put in for a elk/deer draw, like general season OTC tags.  Almost two months to go.  Hopefully I will get a little warm up during fall bear season.

I'm excited every year to get out elk hunting. This year will be especially exciting thanks to my Mt. View any bull tag. It will be back to the usual next year and the 10 years after that. We are elkoholics and we have problems :hello:
