Remote Muley Cam 2014 - Wea300mag
« on: June 23, 2014, 05:45:13 PM »
OK members, this is the official throw-down challenge to get your remote cameras installed in the high country. With the efforts of the masses on here, we should be able to get the image of a true masher.

Over Memorial Weekend, I tried to install mine but ran into too much snow. Not wanting to haul it the 5+ miles back to the truck, I installed it at this intermediate location. This last weekend I installed another camera up at the original intent location at about 6500' and 6.5 miles from road. I liked the pics from the intermediate location so I let it be and just installed a new memory card, batteries, and 4lb salt block.

I plan to retrieve both cams in late August.

I have two other cams I want to install in my high hunt area but won't be able to get there for a month or so.

I had about 2100 pics from the intermediate location over the last month. I'll get the highlights posted soon.

On my way in, I found this guy with my regular camera which has similar features as a buck from last year (second pic).

Great pics! Looks like a lot of potential for season. You have me motivated to get in and set some up. Have to wait a little longer for the snow to melt off

Those are fantastic pics! I'm with slayer, still have some time until I can get to my spots. You got me itching real bad with pics of those animals. Good luck this year fellas!

Well done, Dan. Planning a high country scouting trip next month and looking to put a camera in too.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
