Does anyone hunt the Sultan Basin area/Sultan/Goldbar?
« on: July 07, 2014, 07:26:10 AM »
I just moved to Sultan, and live on the Sultan river. I've got a few black bear the live across the river, and a handful of deer in the area.

Im curious to see if anyone hunts the sultan area with success, Deer, Bear, Cougar, Coyotes, etc. I've got a garmin 62s gps with the 100dollar hunting maps. So im all ears for hearing success stories.

Spill your guts please...

Hunting crackheads?
And I think God must be a cowboy at heart
He made wide open spaces from the start
He made grass and trees and mountains and a horse to be a friend
And trails to lead ol' cowboys home again

I've gotten a few messages from people...
Is this area heavily traveled by weirdos and druggies. Better not to park up there, just get dropped off? Theft?

Affirm on the druggies and don't leave your car with anything valuable in it.  The nudists are harmless though.  They pretty much stay in their place on the basin road.

Some of those rock stacks are down right impressive. The nudists are not so impressive though.   :dunno:

Yes, there is plenty of room. Also, Spada sure is pretty to go and throw a few rocks in the water.

I thought I saw a bear once but it was one of the nudists out for a stroll.  Scared me to death.
