stabilizer recomondations
« on: July 08, 2014, 04:52:06 PM »
I have been looking at getting a new stabilizer for my bow.  I currently have a small one on there but doesn't seem to do much.  I was looking at the Bee-Stinger and was wondering if anybody has used these and what length.   Or if you have any other brands that have worked good.

I tried about a dozen different stabs on my bow before settling on the B Stinger Pro Maxx 10" 10 oz. It made my bow sit dead in hand better than the rest of them. My advice is go shoot groups with several different ones if you have a shop locally.

So I read an interesting article the other day by Randy Ulmer, he doesn't hunt with a stabilizer because he wants his gear as light as possible.  But for me I am rolling a K-Tec 5" with dual harmonic dampeners.  It feels good and the bow is very balanced.  Its short and maneuverable here on the West side which helps in the thick junk.
