Helical vanes - RipCord + Cabelas Carbon Hunter?

I'm intrigued by helical vanes, and wondering if there are any concerns with running 2-3 degree helical with a full drop-away rest such as the RipCord.

In theory I could strip the stock vanes from some of my Cabelas Carbon Hunter arrows, and re-vane with helical, correct?

Or, would it be better to try simple offset first?

Helical is the way to go. I get perfect flight and accuracy with fixed blades running a helical on 2" blazers. Nothing to worry about with your ripcord. And yes you can strip the vanes an refletch any way you like. Only negative to helical is its a little louder, but I've never had an animal move at the shot so it can't matter that much.

You should have no problem with helical vanes through a rip cord.

What is the minimum equipment I'll need to do a couple arrows with helical vanes?

Vanes
Glue
Jig capable of helical application
Arrow wraps worthwile?

Maybe I can find someone local in Skagit county who has a jig and can show me the ropes.
