Second year in a row she's been sitting on the line.

3 days later, defense is up.  As soon as I approached they all pointed up like a bittern.

That's cool. Didn't know they nested around here.

Me neither.  I live up against the woods, see them up there a lot, come down to the yard for cherries sometimes.  Gentleman from bird supply house on westside M.V. says it's pretty rare to see a nest close to home.

Just 2 days later in the morning

evening of the same day.

Next day, July 1st, out of the nest.

This little guy was about half the size of the others.  All across the lane the next day, could here them talking for a couple days before they headed out.
