What is a good bullet to use for hunting? This is my first year muzzleloading and I'm going to start shooting my gun soon.

:dunno: what caliber are you shooting ? blood line 300 / 275 .  is a good bullet  some like the cva 295 /310 and others like  Thompson TMZ   so its really up to you.
if you want to to shoot sabots  deep curl 300 is good as well

you can give these a try for starters

1. if you can find some - look for some Speer .452-250/300 grain bullets and regular 45-50 sabot... which by the way I have a bunch of...

2. Is look for a box of Speer .50x300 Deep Curls
3 don't think i would try the power belts  in it
but also ask  the others as well i am sure they can be of more help

What is a good bullet to use for hunting? This is my first year muzzleloading and I'm going to start shooting my gun soon.

What are you hunting deer or elk?

There are some really good bullets out there for you to choose from.  My favorite hunting bullets are Knight Bloodline bullets but they are really expensive.  I shoot them for hunting and very little for practice...

This is the bullet I have used for Elk... It does an awesome job...

Bloodline offers another bullet a 275 grain bullet which I believe is the best all-around bullet out there.  They are both .458 in diameter.

Other bullets like the Speer Deep Curl that has been mentioned is also a very good production bullet but they are really hard to find.

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!
