In light of the recent decision by the US Fish & Wildlife Service to ban the importation of all elephant trophies legally hunted in Zimbabwe and Tanzania, South Africa is one of the very few options remaining for Americans who wish to bring their elephant trophy home after the hunt. We recently obtained 1x CITES elephant export permit for a hunting concession in Limpopo Province. This is a fantastic, and somewhat rare, opportunity to hunt elephant and still be able to export the trophy to the United States.
As of this instant, elephant trophies legally sport hunted in South Africa do not require a CITES import permit to bring them into the United States. They only require a CITES export permit to remove them from South Africa, which is included in this package. With the current state of affairs in the world, it is unknown as to how long this arrangement will remain in place, so don’t let this opportunity pass you by! We can hunt 365 days a year in South Africa, so we are pretty flexible on the actual dates for the hunt. However, the hunt must occur before 31 December 2014. Contact me for more details.
This hunt will take place at a concession in northern Limpopo Province, very close to the border with Botswana. Located approximately 5 hours north of O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, this concession offers outstanding hunting for elephant. This area has a robust elephant population and the odds of success are very high. As always, whether you are a newcomer to Africa, or a seasoned hunter, we will tailor the hunt to your abilities and guarantee you the hunt of a lifetime.
The package can also be upgraded with additional hunting days ($400 per person, per day) or additional trophies in accordance with our trophy list, available here. Non-hunters may be added for $250 per person, per day. All prices are in USD.
