Been there several times.  Toughest part of bringing them into your family is helping them pass at the end.  You gotta be able to do it though to be kind to your pet when the time is right.  If it can be done where the pet is comfortable is the best. 


Thanks H20 for making me a bit teary eye'd at work...   ;)
