.223 load data for 36 grain varmint grenades?

anybody shoot these and have a good hot load? or any o0ther good shooting fast load for .223 i have a 20 inch 1:9 barrel

nobody has good loads for .223 that they will share??!! :'( :'( :'(

I don't use varmint grenades but here are two loads I use in my CZ (the top one also shoots out of my AR).

Hornady SP .224
60 Grain bullet
Winchester Small Rifle Primer
22.5 Grains of Alliant Reloader 10X
OAL 2.24 inches



Hornady VMax .224
40 Grain bullet
Winchester Small Rifle Primer
25 Grains of Alliant Reloader 10X
OAL 2.26 inches

You may not get good groups with those in a 1:9. I do get dime sized groups from my 1:10 ar with the old 40 grn varminators. You should go to the barnes site, they'll have recipes for you. Thats where i got my data. Good luck.

I agree probably not optimal loads for a 1:9 but hey he was begging for any .223 load the second time.

what you think will shoot good with a 1:9 twist AR? only been shooting factory loads so far. ready to re-load now.

I'd start with the 60 grn varminters by sierra. I'd use 60's and up. It's worth a try if you want to use the grenades but 1:9's will shoot heavier bullets better.
