I agree with you guys now that I've seen the place. And this time of year they are all over the fruit.

So I'll be comen from tri cities , what's the best way to get to mt view   Pasco, pomeroy, clarkston then anatone OR Pasco, and turn south in pomeroy?  What way do you go?

Depends on what part of Mtn. View you're aiming to get to.  Pomeroy to Misery will be best for anywhere on top.  Anatone will be better for the bottom part.  Middle part, like Grouse Flats, is a toss up, but Misery would be a bit quicker just worse road getting down there.
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

Wow!  Don't even think of trying to go from Misery down to Grouse Flats with it.  Pomeroy to Misery to Wenatchee Guard Station would be no problem.  Anatone to Grouse Flats would be kind of OK, just slow.

It really depends on where you are wanting to park your trailer and hunt.  If the goal is to get down low to grouse flats I would go to Anatone and down rattlesnake grade to the Grande Ronde and then back up to Grouse Flats from the river road (especially with a 30' trailer and if you haven't been down the road from Misery before).  Google maps says you can cut off nearly an hour of drive time by taking the Pomeroy-Grouse flats road down, but I'm not sure that would be the case.  Especially if conditions are less than favorable.  Twice in the last 5 years I've been up there and gotten snowed on in the first week of October.  :twocents:  If you are trying to get to the Wenatchee Guard Station or anywhere up high on the north side of the unit, then I would go to Pomeroy and come up the Mountain Rd. to NF-40 then take NF-44 to the east if you want to go further east.  Good luck to you.
