Soooo... Can Indians shoot elk in Mt View unit whenever?
« on: August 23, 2014, 04:30:01 PM »
Just got a text from a buddy who's wife just watched 2 dudes packing a elk out of Mt view unit by the Wenatchee guard station. They lady with them when they asked what was going on said it was some special deal. The only other thing I can think of is a auction tag , but that's sept 1 opener ??

Idaho plates?

There's no hunting open for elk right now unless it's natives.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

There's 3 tribes with rights in the area and 1 has a year round season and other 2 have established seasons that I believe have archery that starts in august.

just wait, in the next couple weeks you will see referigerator trucks up there and " indians" killing anything and everything they want. I believe that if an indian wants to exercise his ancesterial rights than they should be using a hand made bow and hand made arrows and killing only what they need and not using a high powered rifles. or hunt only on the millions of acres that we gave them that we cant hunt on

A agree
A while ago i saw some natives fishing with modern boats with modern nets going up and down the Columbia river.
I posted about it on a different site, but it got deleted.
People get easily offended when people talk about this kind of stuff. :dunno:

Unless their vehicle was close to the road, they weren't native american. Don't typically see them "packing" anything thats not close to the road, especially in that area. Not to offend anyone, but that's pretty much the truth. But it could just as easily been any dirt ball poacher. They are pretty bold any more.
