Which of your areas do you target on opening day assuming it opens on a saturday, and you are going to hunt two days.

My very best area even though it is way back in, and unlikely to get immediate hunting pressure.

Ok guys.  Which area do you target on opening day assuming it opens on a saturday?  Hit the pressured areas before they get hunted out?  Hit your honey hole way back in?  Save your honey hole for later in the rut?  Other?

I take my chances in the easy areas first knowing that they'll be blown out in the first 3 hours or so.

I always totally obsess over which area to hunt opening day   :yike:   My three main areas fit these descriptions, and I have had good success with all three on opening weekend.   This year I am going to hit the half day area just because I know there is a really nice herd in there right now, but it does seem like a waste of a two day weekend to hunt the smaller area.   :dunno:

Was really interested in other's reasons for choosing one or the other.  Good stuff.  Keep it coming.
