so close but not close enough
« on: August 29, 2014, 08:47:29 PM »
So this morning i woke up at 3:00 am and headed up to the hill to look for a bear. I got up to the spot i have been want to be at at first light a little early and started walking down the ridge line in the dark that lead to a clear cut with thick timber on each side of it and a creek runs through it. So i hold up on a vantage point to glass with a half hour to kill i just sit there and litsen while the woods start to come alive. It stars with the birds cheeping the the coyotes howling then a few owl hooting in the distance. But all a sudden i hear something like it sounded like MR Bigfoot was ripping up the forest. With it still Be g to dark to see and a thick timber patch below me i cant see anything and this goes on for about five minutes the silence. I started wondering what it could be. Then i hear it again closer. But didn't last as long. Then i hear one off in the distance coming from the other side of me and is goes off and on for a while as its gitting g lighter I'm still not able to see in the timber where all the racket is coming from and it sounds like it couldn't be more then 50 yards from me. So i decided to move further down the ridge towards the timber where the noise was coming from and a caught a dark outline of something moving in the timber but still couldn't make it out. By this time it getting light enough to see and the noise is working away from me and what ever it is should work its way to the clearcut but it never did. So a sat there glassing all around until 10:00 am and finely decided to go down there and take a look with not hearing anything nor seeing anything in two hours. Once i got to where i thought i was hearing the noises coming from i seen the all the stumps and fallen down logs were just shreded then i found a big pile of fresh bear scat. So i stayed around looking for him until dark but he never turned up. So i heading back up before light again tomarrow.
Whack em and stack em
