busted by a coyote
« on: September 02, 2014, 05:36:38 PM »
So opener started great glassed up a bachelor herd of 5 bucks 2 being shooters. I put a stalk on them and jumped a doe as I tried to slip into a draw they headed up. The does lead them up the side of the draw on to a flat and bedded down. So I took an hr and was 100yards from them when I hear all hell break loose behind me as a coyote went nuts :bash: which ened with a dead coyote and my bucks who knows where :yike: I looked today for them but the winf was howling and saw no deer at all.

One less coyote is always a good thing . Maybe a couple years from now you will shoot a buck that you saved by ridding the area of the coyote.

I took one out with my bow on sunday!  Made a great shot, atleast on the coyote not the buck! Damn branch threw my arrow into orbit.

At least you were able to get sweet revenge on that coyote.  Unfortunately, coyote does not taste as good as deer. haha
