I drew the Taneum muzzleloader cow tag and was wondering how everyone did.

His success is starting to anger me, so I'll auction off his stand location to the highest bidder.  What do you got?

I'll start the bidding off with a case of beer.

You guys honestly think it's the stand huh?  10 elk 3 different units in 12 years.  Its not the stand it's just that I'm simply better than you.  I've killed more elk from, the ground than that stand.

Yeah, its probably not the stand.  Why dont you let your cousin sit in it for the opening 3-4 days next year and get one on the ground?  You're more successful there anyway, right?

I can vouch for your deer stalking skills though  :chuckle:

Nah....Stang and D-Rock have a long standing "what happens in the woods stays in the woods" relationship. All in good fun.

What happens in the woods gets discussed as an inside joke on a public hunting forum.

He's using drones equipped with FLIR (forward looking infra-red) and HD cameras.  I seen em flying all around Taneum, he's even got speakers with cow calls on them.  Him and his cousins also built a huge underground tunnel system so they are able to just pop-up anywhere once the drones find them a target.

I tried shooting down one of the drones but then it started shooting at me.

I think it's the amount of cow elk urine he douses on himself. It draws all the elk from the surrounding units right to him. Don't believe me? Try it next year. About 5 gallons should do.

What elk would ever imagine "Doc" from the Seven Dwarfs would be mean and shoot arrows at them?  :dunno:

"Doc"/"D-Rock"...I can see how they might get confused :chuckle:
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

I probably saw the same herd...they crossed the road in front of me in the east end of town.  I think it was Wednesday or Thursday night.

I think you have him misplaced...  Elk probably think he's hunting gold and pay no attention to him.

:chuckle: :chuckle:  Funny, that was my first post.  Then I thought better of it and went with the name similarity.  Guess D-Rock does seem to have the golden arrow when it comes to whacking cows!
