I got in there today, nice and sunny up there,  went most of the way down the canyon but chickened out, too big a truck for too narrow, deteriorating a road. Same problem I had trying to come up it from Palisades. Anyway, like you said, there are some nice hunting access areas in there. Ran into fog earlier in the morning near Ephrata trying to hunt. Won't get back over to the eastside until elk season is over.

Good on the coyote.

I gotta ask, where is there a trailhead around Ephrata ? Never heard of one before.......... :dunno:
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Congrats on the song dog and don't ya just love the 250?  I use 55 grain Sierria handloads and like you no Major entry or exit as long as the dog isn't sitting in your lap.

Just a reminder that from 10/25 to 11/15 you must be wearing that Hunter Safety orange as it is General Elk season in most of the GMU's in Okanogan County.  One reason I don't really get into the yotes until after the 15th.

Right about hunter orange, that's why I snuck over there this week for a last coyote hunt till end of November. I may try to get down to Nevada next month, got a sister in Reno, would hunt north of there. Up near Gerlach, where they hold Burning Man. I really like that 22-250 for coyotes and.....first rifle for me with synthetic stock. As much as I like the look of wood, synthetic makes more sense.

I like synthetic stocks--especially for "fencepost shooting".  You can plunk the stock on a metal fencepost and not have to worry about scratching a wood stock.  :twocents:
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"
