You have to have bobcats sealed befor you can sell them.  As for the legalities of buying and selling small mammals without a fur dealer or trapping license I don't know enough to give you advice.

Did they change that rule?  I know that WSTA was trying to convince the state to let furbuyers seal cats and otters but I havent heard anything else about it.

What is "sealing"?

Several responders have mentioned something called "sealing".  What is it, and why is it done?

It is a seal they put on Bobcats, Cougar, and Otter pelts.  It's a cities tag.

They have to seal them because the pelts of those animals are similar to endangered species and the seal denotes they are or the legal variety. It also allows the WDFW to know how many have been taken instead of relying on people to report the correct number.

brady is payin 10 bucks for perfect large dogs and only100 -1 50 for bobbys the price is way down this year so i ma going to keep mine in my freezer until next year, I will not sell my bobbys for anything under 250 a piece and i want at least 16 bucks or better for my dogs, so i will just stock pile them in the cooler for now

That's what were're doing too. My wife is going to make me find a old freezer to use. :dunno:

Wow. . .$10 is REALLY low!!! I hadn't heard what the current prices were (no dog's to sell right now anyway). . .but the last price on dog's that I saw was $35!!! I don't know how old that is though. . .it might have been 2007/2008 winter prices??? because it wasn't SUPER old!!!
