Wenas Grouse
« on: September 21, 2014, 06:38:03 PM »
I roamed the Audubon RD and the hills on either side and didn't see any grouse. I hiked around 17 miles found lots of Elk sign and coyote tracks.

You need to be higher, get up around Barber Springs. Get on the jeep trails, on the NF, I see grouse tracks in the dust all the time, when I'm up around Funny Rock.

Get higher to the north, seen about a dozen next to the road and only half flew off when I stopped.
