I don't have one yet, but I plan on getting one from R Bros.  Have you looked over their website?

What is your definition of a lightweight rifle?

You can try Wayne York at Oregunsmithing in Pendleton, he does build very light rifles and makes his own stocks. I had him build a 338 RUM, but obviously was not a feather blowing in the wind.

Thanks I'll try giving them a call it needs to be chambered in a 340wby. about the same as a 338rum. the one I have know is 9 pounds and it to heavy. I'm planning a Alaska hunt and very pound counts in a super cub. and I hike a ton. if I could lighten mine up that would be sweet. but if I have to have new one to get it down in weight that's fine to. :chuckle:

:chuckle: a 5lb 340Wby? If you're looking to drop four pounds for the plane ride, easiest way is to exercise, buy lightweight sleeping bags, a lighter pack, lighter boots, or anything. If you just want a different rifle, that's a whole nother story.

.I do exercise a ton. I don't weight much. plus my stuff is ultra light. I only run kuiu gear. I hike a ton in the high country so a lighter gun would make life much easier. plus I could carry a my bigger spotting scope. if my gun was lighter.  so I did look them up they are going to make me a stock and rebarrel my 340wby which will bring down to about 6pounds which is perfect for what I do.. thanks guy for the info..

I can't imagine shooting a 5-6# .340 wby. or a .338 rum.
