Knight Breech plug tool

 Is there away to get my breech plug out of my bighorn without the breech plug tool that came with it? Thanks

I dont think so i tride but i to buy the tool . i think you need the tool with the hex head and you can get one online at green top supply for 25.00 a socket will not fit its to thick.best of luck

I have used a 1/4 inch drive, 7/16 socket to get mine out.  About a 6" extension.

It is easier if you take the trigger off first (socket goes right through then).

I did buy a tool at sportsmans warehouse a few years ago.

Yep, use a 6 point socket, 1/4" drive. Works fine.

1/4" ratchet - long extension - 7/16" deep socket...

Curious. .. What is the purpose of the tape?  Is this used as an alternative to the grease?
Is this the same as plumbers tape

Correct I never use grease to messy for me.  So I tape the plug and install it.  It takes a little practice doing this correctly in that you have to insure the threads in the breech are clean and dry.  If they have any carbon left in the threads it will snag the tape and tear it...
