Public meetings extended to reach southern Puget Sound recreationists
OLYMPIA – The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is adding a public meeting to a series of six open houses to gather ideas and discuss the development of an agency-wide trail policy. The meetings are designed to achieve well-balanced feedback from different user groups across the state.
What:
A trails policy public meeting for those who use Capitol, Tahuya, Green Mountain, Tahoma and Elbe Hills state forests or other DNR-managed recreation destinations in the southern Puget Sound area.
When: Oct. 8, 2014, from 6-8 p.m.
Who:
The public is invited to meet with DNR staff managing trail recreation on DNR-managed lands, such as hiking, horseback riding, off-road vehicle (ORV) riding and mountain biking.
