Did we loose a Forum?

Or di the Equipment and Vehicles just get combined?
Only 2 defining forces sacrificed themselves for you:
The American Soldier and Jesus Christ. One died for your freedom, the other for your soul.

My rock,
He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.

I noticed it too.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

Ok, good, you both noticed it too.  I noticed this earlier but since I wasn't really paying that close attention I wasn't sure if the forum changed or I was just losing my mind.

We are consolidating a few boards, you will notice that trailcams is now a part of photo.

I have been in a discussion board with other large forum owners who have much larger forums than H-W and it's a general consensus that forums run smoother and most topics will get more traffic when a forum has fewer boards. In addition the forum is easier to monitor by mods when there are fewer boards. It makes sense to consolidate similar boards together.

Please feel free to offer suggestions of boards that you would like to see combined.

Excellent forward thinking, maybe combine some of the lesser used board titles if it helps speed up the overall forum.  I'm a member on other forums too and some of the others seem like they take forever to load from page to page.

Yes, that's the plan.

Our forum is faster than some because we have a ramped up dedicated server. We do have some coding issues that we are trying to get worked out and then this place will be on steroids once that is worked out.

I'm all for anything that speeds up the overall forum.  As I mentioned before, like many other members I'm, I belong to other forums as well but there are a couple I don't frequent as much as I once did because they are so damn slow to load.

They probably really aren't that slow but when you get used to driving 80 then have to slow down to 55, it makes 55 feel reallllllly slowwwwwww. lol

Good move, Dale!   :twocents:

I've visited some forums where there's way too many boards going on. Its confusing--I could post a discussion in one of three or four different boards. This consolidation should help prevent multiple discussions of the same topic.

We appreciate you!

I gotta ask, do they need moderation on their own forum?

I have always (since they were created) been confused by the fact that there is a deer hunting, elk hunting, bow hunting and muzzleloader hunting boards. Then we have gear sections for rifle/muzzy and one for archery gear. Are the bow hunting and muzzy hunting specific boards necessary? Before anyone blasts me, I rifle and archery hunt.  :chuckle: I am always getting lost trying to find a thread I have viewed previously, not knowing if it was in the elk hunting board or the bow hunting board... Maybe something to consider consolidating...  :twocents:

Yes it is heavily moderated with strict rules.

interesting. fewer boards implies that fewer mods and admins will be required. perhaps the cream will have an opty to rise to the top here. lets hope eh.   :dunno:

Less places for an unruly poster to hide drivel that doesn't adhere to the rules or vision of the forum.
