I'm curious why you would consider this bull dying of old age a huge waste? In my opinion, today's world of technology in hunting, I think its pretty rare for a bull like that to make it to old age and die naturally.

I really feel that if thats what happened, it's a wonderful thing that the bull lived a full life avoiding predators and spread his genes just like he's supposed to.  :twocents:

Totally agree.....other than I like the idea of his legacy living on while displayed in a shoulder mount.  If he died a ripe old age, I hope someone finds his rack and finds a legal way to obtain them.

You must have never eaten antler stew, its delicious.  The bigger the better, heck some guys only eat the horns and give the rest of the elk away. ;)

yeah that's the one I passed inless he regressed a bunch

If so that explains why I didn't have him on camera......He was not in the 329 unit 3 years prior.  How do you pass on a bull like this????  Not to knowledgeable about scoring bulls, but his is a wall hanger and a bull of a lifetime.
Ive just been looking for a giant with huge mass extras and g3's . I will drop my requirements come dec. its a blast

I agree, definitely not a huge waste.

Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
