I'm curious for an update now that some of you have had a chance to shoot it and use it for a season.  :dunno:

I love mine!  Now, that being said, I will remind you that this is the first and basically only muzzy I ever shot.

The removable breach plug, and the thumb hole stock are great - especially for a newbie!  Cleaning it is super easy and it shot GREAT!

I did have an issue with some caps not going off.  I called Accura and they thought that I might be over tightening the breach plug.  They suggested that I only finger tighten it, and even back that off slightly - so I did.  I shot another 15 caps after that with no issue.  And then 1 more shot at my bull and it did the trick!   :IBCOOL:

Muzzleloader.com  offered some of the best customer service I have ever received.  While I was having the issues, these guys offered to send me their personal muzzy so that my hunt would not be in jeopardy.    :yike:    GREAT SERVICE AND GREAT PRICES!

Love mine ! Shot a Knight Wolverine last year. Shot just OK...pain in butt to clean. V2 miles ahead in my opinion both in ease of operation and accuracy.

I am not really a muzzie guy either but drew a muzzie deer tag so am trying to figure it out. Bought one of these accuras and have been shooting it a bit. So far it has proven to be a good gun and pretty darn accurate. I put a peep site on it and shoot a pretty good group at a 1oo yards. Easy to load , clean shoot  etc. I give it a thumbs up. nwhunter

I am also looking at this gun and was wondering if you guys are shooting loose powder or pellets? Any opinions or suggestions. I am very new to muzzleloaders so I do not know the difference other than pellets seem easier to deal with.

loose powder. My optima was hang firing badly with T7 pellets. Pyrodex pellets did ok but still did not seem right compared to loose powder. Pellets are actually intended for 209 primers if you read on the box.
